• 1 pound ground beef
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
• 1 white onion , diced
• 5 cloves minced garlic
• 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
• 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
• 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
• 1 tablespoon dried basil
• 1 tablespoon dried oregano
• 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
• 1 cup mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in boiling water, according to package directions. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Pour olive oil into a large, deep skillet, over medium-high heat. Add in ground beef and season with salt and pepper. Brown beef, approximately 5 minutes. Add in diced onions.

  4. Add in garlic and tomato paste and toast for 2 minutes. Pour in crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce. Stir in basil and oregano and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and simmer until pasta is ready.
  5. Once the pasta is done, add it to the meat sauce and stir to combine. Pour into a lightly greased 9x13 pan. Top with shredded cheeses.
