Reuben Sandwich

If you like Ruben's sandwich, now you no longer have to fly to New York for it. You can make the best Reuben sandwich at home! Reuben sandwich is one of the best sandwiches of all time, and there is a reason for that. This sandwich is juicy, full of flavor and easy to make. This sandwich made of: rye bread, Russian dressing, corned beef, Swiss cheese and sauerkraut.

Ingredients:

For the Russian dressing:

  • 1/4 cup (60g) Mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha/hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoons Horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • 1/4 Onion, Chopped
  • Pinch Paprika

For the sandwich:

  • 8 slices Rye bread
  • 2 tablespoon Unsalted butter, softened

Russian dressing

  • 4-6 slices corned beef per sandwich
  • 1 cup Sauerkraut, drained
  • 1-2 slices Swiss cheese per serving

Directions:

1. Make the dressing: in a small bowl, whisk mayonnaise, sriracha, horseradish, lemon juice, chopped onion and paprika. Set aside.
2. Spread 1/2 tablespoon of butter on one side of each slice of bread. Spread one tablespoon of the Russian dressing on the other side of the bread.
3. Place 4-6 slices of corned beef on the dressing, then 2-3 tablespoons of sauerkraut, then 1-2 slices of Swiss cheese. Top with slice of bread, sauce side down.
4. In a hot skillet, cook sandwiches over medium heat 5-6 minutes, flipping once. Cook until cheese melts and the bread is crispy.
5. Serve.
