Japanese-Style Chicken Tempura

Ingredients

  • 400g Chicken breast

seasoning

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sake
  • 1 tsp Grated ginger
  • Rice flour
  • Water
  • Shiso leaves
  • shredded carrot

【Directions】

① Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces. Sprinkle with sugar and rub well.

Place the chicken in a bowl with the mixed seasoning, and mix well. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.

③ Trim off any excess seasoning from the chicken.

Add water to the rice flour to make the batter and mix it with the chicken.

Please refer to the video for the amount of water in the batter.

④ Wrap the chicken with shiso leaves.

⑤ Heat enough oil in a frying pan to submerge the chicken (180℃), and fry each side for 2 minutes.

*Add shredded carrots to the remaining coating, mix well, and fry until crispy.
