Rice with Salmon for Dinner
Ingredients
- 1 cup jasmine rice (or your preferred rice variety)
- 2 cups water (for cooking rice)
- 2 salmon fillets
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- Fresh herbs (such as dill or parsley) for garnish
Steps
Step 1: Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook the rice according to the package instructions.
Step 2: Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
Step 3: In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Step 4: Place the seasoned salmon fillets in the pan, skin side down. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side or until the salmon is cooked through and easily flakes with a fork.
Step 5: During the last minute of cooking, add lemon slices to the pan and cook briefly.
Step 6: Serve the cooked rice on a plate, place the salmon fillets on top, and garnish with fresh herbs.
Step 7: Squeeze additional lemon juice over the dish if desired.
