Easy Yorkshire Pudding

Tried and true, this traditional Yorkshire Pudding recipe is absolutely foolproof! They come out crispy and flavorful every time. It’s a side dish that goes well with a Sunday roast or any holiday meal. All you need are five simple ingredients to make this classic, old-fashioned English side.

Ingredients:

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of whole milk
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 1/4 tsp of black pepper
  • 2-3 tbsp of beef drippings or vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, flour, milk, salt, and pepper until a smooth batter forms.
  3. Let the batter rest for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Place a 12-cup muffin tin in the preheated oven to heat up for 5 minutes.
  5. Add 1/2-1 tsp of beef drippings or vegetable oil to each cup of the muffin tin, then return it to the oven to heat up for another 5 minutes.
  6. Carefully remove the hot muffin tin from the oven and pour the batter evenly into each cup, filling them up about 3/4 full.
  7. Return the muffin tin to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the puddings are puffed up, golden brown, and crispy.
  8. Serve the Yorkshire Puddings hot with your favorite roast beef, gravy, and vegetables.

Note: Yorkshire Puddings can also be made in a large baking dish instead of a muffin tin. Simply pour the batter into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the pudding is golden brown and crispy.
