Here's a recipe for Cheesy Fried Pickles:
Ingredients:
- 1 jar of dill pickle chips
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 cup Panko bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions:
- Drain the pickle chips and pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper.
- In another shallow dish, whisk together the eggs and milk.
- In a third shallow dish, mix together the Panko bread crumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Dip each pickle chip into the flour mixture, shaking off any excess. Then dip it into the egg mixture, and finally coat it in the Panko-Parmesan mixture. Place the coated pickle chips on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a deep skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F.
- Fry the pickle chips in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per batch. Use a slotted spoon or tongs to transfer the fried pickles to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
- Serve the fried pickles immediately while they're still hot and crispy.
