French toast stuffed with custard

Ingredients

  • 6 thick slices White Bread *about 2.5cm thick
  • 6 servings( 8.5cm square)

Custard cream:

  • 2 Egg yolks
  • 30g Sugar
  • 20g Flour
  • 200g Milk

*Heavy whipping cream

French toast:

  • 2 Eggs
  • 60g Sugar
  • 80g Milk

*15g Unsalted butter

Directions

o make Custard in microwave:

Place all ingredients in a heat-proof bowl and whisk well to combine well.

Microwave it at 600W for 2 min and 30sec.

Mix well, and cook again for 2 minute OR until cooked through. Then mix well.

Cover with a sheet of plastic food wrap directly touching the Custard, and allow it to cool.

Place cream in a bowl.

Mix well.

Add a little Heavy whipping cream and smooth the cream.

①Use chopsticks to make holes in the bread.

②In a bowl, combine Eggs, Milk, Sugar.

③Place bread in a zipper bag.

Pour the egg mixture over them.

Let it sit in a fridge for 1 hour.

④Melt the butter (15g) on frying pan on low heat.

⑤Place the bread into the pan.

⑥Cook them for 3~5 mins on low heat~ medium heat or until golden.

Turn to cook the other side for another 3~5 mins.

⑦When cooled, use a piping bag attached with nozzle to fill custard cream in the ‘French toast’.
