Stuffed Chicken Wings

Stuffed Chicken Wings

Stuffed chicken wings are a delicious and impressive appetizer that combines the flavors of juicy chicken wings with a flavorful stuffing.

Ingredients:

  • 12 whole chicken wings
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Oil, for frying

For the Stuffing:

  • 1 cup cooked chicken, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs (such as parsley, thyme, or basil)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the chicken wings by removing the tips and separating the drumettes from the wingettes. You can either discard the tips or save them for making chicken stock.
  3. Use a sharp knife to make a slit along the bone of each wingette, creating a pocket for the stuffing. Be careful not to cut through the other side.
  4. Season the chicken wings with salt and pepper, both inside the pocket and on the outside.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped herbs, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
  6. Add the beaten egg to the stuffing mixture and mix until it is evenly moistened.
  7. Stuff each chicken wing pocket with the prepared stuffing, pressing it in gently. Be careful not to overstuff, as it may cause the wings to burst during cooking.
  8. Heat oil in a deep fryer or a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the stuffed chicken wings in batches until they are golden brown and crispy, usually about 8-10 minutes per batch. Make sure they are cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  9. Once the wings are fried, transfer them to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a wire rack.
  10. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the wings for an additional 10-15 minutes. This will ensure the chicken is fully cooked and the flavors meld together.
  11. Remove the stuffed chicken wings from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
  12. Serve the stuffed chicken wings as an appetizer with your favorite dipping sauces, such as barbecue sauce, ranch dressing, or sweet chili sauce.

Stuffed chicken wings are a crowd-pleasing appetizer that will impress your guests. The combination of tender chicken and flavorful stuffing creates a unique and tasty dish that is perfect for parties or special occasions. Enjoy!
