Ultimate King Crab Toast

The Ultimate King Crab Toast is a decadent and indulgent dish that combines the sweetness of king crab meat with creamy and flavorful toppings.

Ingredients:

  • 8 slices of thick-cut bread (such as brioche or sourdough)
  • 1 pound cooked king crab meat, removed from the shells
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyere or Swiss cheese
  • Lemon wedges, for serving
  • Fresh dill sprigs, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, chopped dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well to create the crab spread.
  3. Gently fold the cooked king crab meat into the crab spread until it's evenly coated. Set aside.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter and minced garlic until well combined.
  5. Place the bread slices on a baking sheet. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on one side of each slice.
  6. Toast the bread in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove the bread from the oven and spread the crab mixture generously on the toasted side of each slice.
  8. Sprinkle the shredded Gruyere or Swiss cheese over the crab mixture.
  9. Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Remove the Ultimate King Crab Toast from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  11. Serve the toast warm, garnished with fresh dill sprigs and lemon wedges on the side.
