Chocolate Chunk Scones

Ingredients

8 Scones

  • 200g Flour
  • You can use all-purpose flour
  • 6g baking powder
  • 30g Sugar 
  • 2g Salt
  • 200g Heavy Whipping cream
  • *Very "cold"
  • 50g Walnuts

Dark chocolate:

  • 50g (for mixing dough)
  • 30g (for topping)

【Directions】

Preparation:

Cut and roast the walnuts.

Cut the chunks of brown sugar into small pieces.

①Mix the marked dry ingredients in a bowl.

②Add the heavy cream and roughly mix. Then add the walnuts and chocolate, and mix again. *Be careful not to overmix the batter.

③Transfer the mixture onto a surface and gather the dough, pressing and forming it by hand.

Cut the dough in the center using a dough scraper, and fold the dough over itself. Repeat this process 4-5 times, shaping it into a round form with a thickness of 2 cm.

④Chill in the freezer for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 190°C.

⑤Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place the topping chocolate on top of the dough and press it in.

⑥Bake in a 190°C oven for 18 minutes, and it's ready to enjoy
