Creamy Lemon Pasta With Crispy Fried Shrimp
Creamy lemon pasta with crispy fried shrimp is a delightful combination of tangy flavors and textures.
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces spaghetti or linguine
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Zest and juice of 1 lemon
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, salt, and black pepper. Dredge the shrimp in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the coated shrimp for about 2-3 minutes per side until they turn golden brown and crispy. Transfer the shrimp to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and add the lemon zest and juice. Stir to combine.
- Bring the cream mixture to a simmer and cook for about 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and continue cooking until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes creamy and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the creamy lemon sauce. Toss well to coat the pasta with the sauce.
- Plate the creamy lemon pasta and top it with the crispy fried shrimp.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
