Vegan Sweet and Sour Tofu

Meaty and crispy tofu with bell peppers, tossed in a sweet and sour sauce, make the perfect dish to serve with a side of steamed white rice. This is an easy sweet and sour vegan tofu recipe ready in 20 minutes!

Ingredients:

  • 400g silken tofu (pressed, freezed and thawed for three cycles)
  • 3 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp non dairy milk

air fry at 200°C for 8-10 minutes

Sweet and Sour Sauce

  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup sweetened pineapple juice
  • 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • black pepper

Other Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2-3 red onion
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 3/4 cup pineapple tidbits
  • salt and pepper to taste
