Ingredients:
For Watermelon Cake:
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup watermelon puree (strained from blended watermelon chunks)
- Pink or red food coloring (optional)

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup watermelon puree
- Green food coloring
- Mini chocolate chips for "seeds"
Cooking Steps:
Step 1: Preheat Oven and Prepare Cake Pans
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
Step 3: Cream Butter and Sugar

- Place the second cake layer on top.
