Easy Taco Pizza

Is it a pizza? Is it a taco? Who can say for sure? What I can tell you is that this taco pizza is delicious! Put all your favorite taco toppings on a pizza crust with taco meat and nacho cheese and you have a tasty, hearty dinner.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 pre-made pizza crust or refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 cup refried beans
  • 1 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • Sour cream and salsa for serving

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the pizza crust or dough.

2. Brown the Ground Beef:

  • In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain any excess fat.

3. Add Taco Seasoning:

  • Add the taco seasoning and water to the browned beef. Cook according to the seasoning packet instructions. Set aside.

4. Prepare the Pizza Crust:

  • Roll out the pizza crust on a baking sheet or pizza pan according to the package instructions.

5. Spread Refried Beans:

  • Spread a layer of refried beans over the pizza crust.

6. Add Taco Meat:

  • Spread the seasoned taco meat evenly over the beans.

7. Sprinkle with Cheese:

  • Sprinkle the shredded Mexican blend cheese over the taco meat.

8. Bake:

  • Bake the pizza in the preheated oven according to the pizza crust or dough instructions or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

9. Top and Serve:

  • Once out of the oven, top the taco pizza with diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, sliced black olives (if using), and sliced green onions.

10. Serve with Sour Cream and Salsa:

  • Slice the taco pizza and serve with dollops of sour cream and salsa on the side.
