Baked Salmon

Baking Salmon is the perfect way to prepare a simple, delicious and nutritious meal. This recipe can be used for an entire salmon fillet or for partial fillets. We've included a basic salmon marinade as well as three additional seasoning options so you can easily switch things up.

Ingredients

• 1 (2-3 pound) salmon filet deboned
• 1/2 cup soy sauce
• 1/4 cup honey
• 1/4 cup orange juice
• 4 cloves garlic minced
• 1 teaspoon ground ginger
• 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
• 1 orange thinly sliced (optional)
• 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley for garnishing (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the salmon fillet in a shallow dish or gallon-sized resealable plastic bag.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, orange juice, garlic, ginger, and pepper flakes. Pour the marinade over the salmon. Cover or seal and transfer to the fridge to marinate for 30 minutes.
  3. Place the salmon fillet in the center of the baking sheet. Place the orange slices (if using)on top of the fillet and then loosely wrap aluminum foil around the fillet to trap the steam. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork. Top with the minced parsley (if using).
