Ingredients:

  1. 1 cup sesame seeds (til)
  2. 1 cup jaggery (gud), grated
  3. 2 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter)
  4. Cardamom powder for flavor (optional)
  5. Chopped nuts for garnish (optional)

Cooking Steps:

  1. Dry roast sesame seeds in a pan over medium heat until they turn golden and release a nutty aroma. Set aside.
  2. In the same pan, heat ghee and add grated jaggery. Stir until the jaggery melts and forms a syrup.
  3. Add the roasted sesame seeds to the jaggery syrup. Mix well to coat the sesame seeds evenly.
  4. Allow the mixture to cool slightly, making it easier to handle.
  5. Grease your hands with ghee and shape the mixture into round laddoos.
  6. Optionally, garnish each laddoo with chopped nuts or a sprinkle of cardamom powder.
  7. Let the laddoos cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
