Til Gud Laddoo
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sesame seeds (til)
- 1 cup jaggery (gud), grated
- 2 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter)
- Cardamom powder for flavor (optional)
- Chopped nuts for garnish (optional)
Cooking Steps:
- Dry roast sesame seeds in a pan over medium heat until they turn golden and release a nutty aroma. Set aside.
- In the same pan, heat ghee and add grated jaggery. Stir until the jaggery melts and forms a syrup.
- Add the roasted sesame seeds to the jaggery syrup. Mix well to coat the sesame seeds evenly.
- Allow the mixture to cool slightly, making it easier to handle.
- Grease your hands with ghee and shape the mixture into round laddoos.
- Optionally, garnish each laddoo with chopped nuts or a sprinkle of cardamom powder.
- Let the laddoos cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
