Delicious Potato Suji Snacks

Ingredients:

  • 2 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1 cup suji (semolina)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped bell peppers (any color)
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
  • Oil for frying

Cooking Steps:

Step 1: Prepare Potato Mixture In a mixing bowl, combine boiled and mashed potatoes with suji. Mix well to form a dough-like consistency.

Step 2: Add Vegetables and Spices Add finely chopped onions, bell peppers, green chili, ginger-garlic paste, cumin seeds, red chili powder, garam masala, salt, and chopped coriander leaves to the potato-suji mixture. Mix thoroughly to ensure even distribution of flavors.

Step 3: Shape into Snacks Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into flat discs or any desired shape. This can be done using your hands or by using a cookie cutter for a more uniform shape.

Step 4: Heat Oil for Frying Heat oil in a deep pan or skillet for frying. Ensure the oil is hot enough for a crispy texture.

Step 5: Fry until Golden Brown Carefully place the shaped Potato Suji Snacks into the hot oil and fry until they turn golden brown. Fry in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan.

Step 6: Drain Excess Oil Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried snacks from the oil and place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.

Step 7: Serve and Enjoy Serve the Potato Suji Snacks hot, perhaps with your favorite chutney or sauce on the side.

These Potato Suji Snacks are not only crispy and delicious but also a creative way to enjoy the classic combination of potatoes and suji in a snack form. Enjoy them as a delightful treat for yourself or share with friends and family!
