Grilled Onion Double Cheese Burger

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 8 slices of your favorite cheese (e.g., cheddar, Swiss)
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Condiments and toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mayo)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat your grill or stovetop grilling pan.

Step 2: Divide the ground beef into 8 equal portions and shape them into patties. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 3: Grill the patties to your desired doneness, placing slices of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Step 4: While the patties are grilling, heat olive oil in a skillet. Add thinly sliced onions and cook until caramelized and golden brown.

Step 5: Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.

Step 6: Assemble the burgers by placing a patty with melted cheese on the bottom half of each bun.

Step 7: Top with a generous portion of caramelized onions and any desired condiments and toppings.

Step 8: Place the other half of the bun on top, and secure the burger with a toothpick if needed.

Step 9: Serve these grilled onion double cheese burgers hot, and enjoy the delicious combination of flavors and textures.
