Delicious Tacos

Ingredients:

For the Taco Filling:

  • 1 pound (450g) protein of your choice (ground beef, chicken, pork, tofu, etc.)
  • Taco seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Assembling Tacos:

  • Small corn or flour tortillas
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or your choice)
  • Chopped onions
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Sour cream
  • Salsa or pico de gallo
  • Lime wedges

Instructions:

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chosen protein according to the taco seasoning package instructions or your homemade seasoning. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. While the protein is cooking, warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable.
  3. Assemble a variety of toppings such as shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, chopped onions, fresh cilantro, sour cream, salsa, and lime wedges.
  4. Once the protein is cooked, assemble your tacos by placing a portion of the filling onto a warm tortilla.
  5. Add your desired toppings to each taco.
  6. Squeeze a lime wedge over the top for a burst of freshness.
  7. Repeat the process until all tacos are assembled.
  8. Serve the tacos immediately, and enjoy the customizable flavors of this classic Mexican dish.
