Homemade Stuffed Garlic Bread

Ingredients:
For the Bread:
- 1 loaf of French bread or Italian bread
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt to taste
For the Stuffing:
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and a pinch of salt to create the garlic butter spread.
- Slice the French or Italian bread in half lengthwise. Place the bread on a baking sheet.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over both cut sides of the bread.
- In a separate bowl, combine shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, melted butter, chopped parsley, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to make the stuffing.
- Evenly distribute the stuffing mixture over one half of the bread.
- Place the other half of the bread on top, creating a sandwich.
- Wrap the stuffed bread in aluminum foil, leaving the top exposed.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Optionally, unwrap the top and broil for an additional 2-3 minutes to achieve a golden-brown crust.
- Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve your homemade stuffed garlic bread.
