Banana Bread Brownies

Ingredients:
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
- Chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a square baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, melted butter, and sugar. Mix until well combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips or chopped chocolate and nuts, if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter).
- Allow the Banana Bread Brownies to cool in the pan before slicing into squares.
- Optional: Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with melted chocolate for extra sweetness.
