Cheese Lasagna for Dinner


  • 9 lasagna noodles, cooked according to package instructions
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 cups marinara sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese for topping
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Assembly and Baking:

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2: In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, egg, oregano, basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Step 3: Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.

Step 4: Place three cooked lasagna noodles on top of the sauce.

Step 5: Spread half of the cheese mixture over the noodles.

Step 6: Repeat the layers, finishing with a final layer of noodles and covering with marinara sauce.

Step 7: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top layer.

Step 8: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25-30 minutes.

Step 9: Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 10: Let the Cheese Lasagna rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired and serve this delicious Cheese Lasagna as a comforting and cheesy main dish.
