Ingredients
- 2 cans (15 oz each) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking oil for frying (if making fried version)
- Your favorite sauce (if making sauced version)
Steps
Step 1: In a food processor, combine chickpeas, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and pepper. Blend until a thick, coarse mixture forms.
Step 2: Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized balls.
For Fried Version: Step 3: Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry chickpea balls until golden brown on all sides. Place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
For Sauced Version: Step 3: Bake the chickpea balls in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes or until they are cooked through. Toss them in your favorite sauce.
Step 4: Serve the Chickpea Balls as a crispy snack, appetizer, or in a saucy main dish.
Whether you prefer them fried or in sauce, these Chickpea Balls are a must-try for a flavorful and satisfying experience.
