Extra Cheesy Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh chives for garnish (optional)

Cooking Steps:

Step 1: Boil the peeled and diced potatoes in a large pot of salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

Step 2: Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.

Step 3: Mash the potatoes with a potato masher or fork until smooth.

Step 4: Add butter, milk, and both types of cheese to the mashed potatoes. Stir until the cheese is melted, and the mixture is creamy.

Step 5: Season with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the consistency with more milk if desired.
