Garlic Parmesan Scallops

Garlic Parmesan Scallops

Garlic Parmesan Scallops is a delightful seafood dish that features tender scallops cooked with garlic, butter, and Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound scallops
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Pat dry the scallops with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture. Season them with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the butter and olive oil. Allow the butter to melt and the oil to heat up.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant and golden.
  4. Carefully add the scallops to the skillet in a single layer, making sure they don't touch each other. Cook the scallops for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn golden brown and develop a crust.
  5. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the scallops and let it melt and slightly brown for about 1 minute.
  6. Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle the chopped parsley over the scallops.
  7. Serve the Garlic Parmesan Scallops immediately as a main dish or as an appetizer. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the scallops for extra flavor, if desired.

Garlic Parmesan Scallops are best enjoyed when served hot. They make for an elegant and flavorful seafood dish that pairs well with a side of steamed vegetables, roasted potatoes, or a fresh salad.
