Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips or chunks
Steps:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a baking pan.
- Melt Butter and Sugar: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in sugar until well combined.
- Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla extract and mix until the batter is smooth and glossy.
- Incorporate Dry Ingredients: Sift together cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in chocolate chips or chunks, ensuring an even distribution in the batter.
- Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan. Smooth the top with a spatula. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter).
- Cool and Cut: Allow the brownies to cool in the pan. Once cooled, cut them into squares or desired shapes.
