Chicken Kofta Masala
Ingredients:
- 500g ground chicken
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1/4 cup fresh coriander, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- Cooking oil
Steps:
Step 1: In a bowl, mix ground chicken, chopped onion, ginger-garlic paste, yogurt, fresh coriander, fresh mint, and salt. Shape the mixture into small meatballs.
Step 2: Heat oil in a pan, and gently fry the chicken meatballs until golden brown. Set aside.
Step 3: In the same pan, add more oil if needed. Sauté chopped onions until golden brown. Add garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and red chili powder. Cook until the spices release their aroma.
Step 4: Pour in the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates from the masala.
Step 5: Add the fried chicken meatballs to the masala. Simmer on low heat until the meatballs are cooked through.
Step 6: Garnish with fresh coriander and mint. Serve hot with rice or naan.
