Easy Chicken and Broccoli Pasta at Home

Ingredients:
- 8 oz (about 225g) penne pasta or your preferred pasta
- 2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 broccoli crown, cut into small florets
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Red pepper flakes (optional, for added heat)
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Steps:
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add sliced chicken to the pan and cook until it's no longer pink in the center. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add broccoli florets to the pan and cook until they are slightly tender but still crisp.
- Pour chicken broth into the pan and bring it to a simmer.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and stir in heavy cream. Allow the mixture to heat through.
- Add grated Parmesan cheese to the sauce, stirring until it's fully melted and incorporated.
- Season the sauce with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
- Return the cooked chicken to the pan and mix well with the sauce.
- Add the cooked pasta to the pan, tossing everything together until the pasta is well coated with the creamy sauce.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
- Serve the Easy Chicken and Broccoli Pasta hot, and enjoy this simple and satisfying meal!
