Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup malai (fresh cream)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • Chopped nuts (almonds or pistachios) for garnish (optional)

Steps:

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2: In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.

Step 3: Add the malai (fresh cream) and cardamom powder to the butter-sugar mixture. Mix well.

Step 4: Sift in the all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt. Combine until a soft dough forms.

Step 5: Take small portions of the dough and shape them into round biscuits. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
