10 Min. Milk Pera
Ingredients:
- 1 cup milk powder
- 1/2 cup condensed milk
- 2 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter)
- A pinch of cardamom powder
- Chopped nuts for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Step 1: In a non-stick pan, heat ghee over medium heat.
Step 2: Add milk powder to the pan and roast it for 1-2 minutes until it becomes fragrant. Keep stirring to prevent burning.
Step 3: Pour in the condensed milk and continue stirring to combine the ingredients.
Step 4: Reduce the heat to low and continue cooking the mixture. Stir continuously to avoid lumps.
Step 5: Add cardamom powder for flavor and mix well.
Step 6: Keep stirring until the mixture thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan. This should take approximately 5-7 minutes.
Step 7: Once the mixture has thickened and forms a soft dough-like consistency, remove it from the heat.
Step 8: Allow the mixture to cool slightly so that it becomes easy to handle.
Step 9: Grease your hands with a bit of ghee, take small portions of the mixture, and roll them into round pedas.
Step 10: Optionally, garnish the pedas with chopped nuts, pressing them lightly onto the surface.
Step 11: Let the Milk Pedas cool completely before serving.
