Ingredients

  1. 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  2. 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  3. 1 cup granulated sugar
  4. 1 cup packed brown sugar
  5. 3 large eggs
  6. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  7. 3 cups old-fashioned oats
  8. 1 cup all-purpose flour
  9. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  10. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  11. 1 cup chocolate chips
  12. 1 cup M&M's or other colorful candies

Steps

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Step 3: Beat in eggs one at a time, ensuring each is well incorporated. Add vanilla extract.

Step 4: In a separate bowl, whisk together oats, flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.

Step 5: Fold in chocolate chips and M&M's to distribute evenly throughout the dough.

Step 6: Using a cookie scoop, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each.

Step 7: Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft.

Step 8: Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
