Amazingly Cake Decorating Ideas
Ingredients
- 1 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
Steps
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
Step 2: In a large bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Step 3: Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix well until smooth.
Step 4: Gradually stir in boiling water, incorporating it into the batter. The batter will be thin, but this is normal.
Step 5: Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans.
Step 6: Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Step 7: Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Step 8: Once cooled, frost and decorate the Chocolate Cake as desired.
