Ingredients:

  1. 2 cups whole wheat flour (320 kcal)
  2. 4 medium-sized potatoes, boiled and mashed
  3. 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  4. 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  5. 1 teaspoon garam masala
  6. Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Ghee or oil for cooking

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Dough

  • Knead the whole wheat flour with water to form a soft, pliable dough. Set aside.

Step 2: Make the Potato Filling

  • In a bowl, mix mashed potatoes with cumin seeds, red chili powder, garam masala, chopped coriander, and salt.

Step 3: Form Paratha

  • Take a small portion of the dough, roll it into a ball, and flatten into a small disc.
  • Place a generous portion of the potato filling in the center and seal the edges, ensuring no filling escapes.

Step 4: Roll and Cook

  • Roll out the stuffed ball into a flat, round paratha.
  • Cook on a hot griddle, adding ghee or oil on both sides until golden brown.

Step 5: Serve Hot

  • Repeat the process for the remaining dough and filling.
  • Serve Aloo Paratha hot with yogurt, pickles, or a dollop of butter.
