  2. 1 small onion, finely chopped
  3. 2 cloves garlic, minced
  4. 2 tablespoons olive oil
  5. Salt and pepper to taste

For the Tarts:

  1. Puff pastry sheets (store-bought or homemade)
  2. 1 egg (for egg wash)

Cooking Steps:

Mushroom Filling:

  1. In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Sauté onions until translucent, then add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  3. Add chopped mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and become golden brown.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, and fresh herbs if using. Allow the mixture to cool.

Tarts:

  1. Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the puff pastry package (usually around 400°F or 200°C).
