Chicken Parm Burgers
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Preparation:
Step 1: Prepare Chicken Patties In a bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, dried basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Step 2: Form Patties Divide the mixture into 4 portions and shape each into a patty.
Step 3: Cook Patties Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken patties for about 5-6 minutes per side or until fully cooked and golden brown.
Step 4: Add Marinara Sauce During the last minute of cooking, spoon marinara sauce over each patty and let it warm through.
Step 5: Melt Cheese Place a slice of mozzarella cheese on top of each patty. Cover and let it melt for 1-2 minutes.
Step 6: Assemble Burgers Toast the hamburger buns. Place a chicken Parmesan patty on the bottom half of each bun. Spoon additional marinara sauce on top if desired. Add fresh basil or parsley for garnish.
