Ingredients:

  • 2 cups chocolate ice cream
  • 1 cup chocolate coating (dark or milk chocolate, melted)
  • Optional toppings: crushed nuts, sprinkles, or shredded coconut

Cooking Steps:

Step 1: Remove the chocolate ice cream from the freezer and let it soften slightly.

Step 2: Line a baking pan with parchment paper, and spread the softened chocolate ice cream evenly in the pan.

Step 3: Place the pan in the freezer and let the ice cream firm up again for a couple of hours or until solid.

Step 4: Once the ice cream is firm, use a sharp knife to cut it into rectangular bars.

Step 5: Melt the chocolate coating in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave, stirring until smooth.

Step 6: Dip each ice cream bar into the melted chocolate, coating it completely.

Step 7: Quickly sprinkle optional toppings over the wet chocolate coating.

Step 8: Place the chocolate-coated bars back in the freezer for at least 30 minutes or until the chocolate shell hardens.

Step 9: Once set, your Chocolate Ice Cream Bars are ready to be enjoyed straight from the freezer.
