Crispy Methi Muthiya

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups fenugreek leaves (methi), finely chopped
  • 1 cup gram flour (besan)
  • 1/4 cup semolina (sooji)
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Water, as needed

Cooking Steps:

Step 1: In a mixing bowl, combine chopped fenugreek leaves, gram flour, semolina, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, salt, and oil.

Step 2: Mix the ingredients well, adding water gradually to form a firm yet pliable dough.

Step 3: Shape the dough into cylindrical logs (muthiya) and steam them for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.

Step 4: Allow the steamed muthiya to cool, then slice them into rounds.

Step 5: Heat oil in a pan, and fry the muthiya rounds until they turn golden brown and crispy.

Step 6: Drain excess oil on paper towels, and serve the Crispy Methi Muthiya hot with chutney or sauce.
