Ingredients:

  1. Potatoes (3 medium-sized, boiled and mashed)
  2. Bread slices (8)
  3. Onion (1 large, finely chopped)
  4. Green chilies (2, finely chopped)
  5. Cilantro (a handful, chopped)
  6. Chaat masala (1 teaspoon)
  7. Turmeric powder (1/2 teaspoon)
  8. Cumin seeds (1/2 teaspoon)
  9. Garam masala (1/2 teaspoon)
  10. Salt (to taste)
  11. Butter (for toasting)

Preparation Steps:

Step 1: In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and green chilies. Sauté until onions turn golden brown.

Step 2: Add mashed potatoes, turmeric powder, garam masala, chaat masala, and salt. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Step 3: Add chopped cilantro and mix again. Remove from heat.

Step 4: Take bread slices and spread the prepared aloo masala mixture on one slice. Optionally, add slices of tomatoes or cheese.

Step 5: Place another slice on top, creating a sandwich. Repeat for all sandwiches.

Step 6: Toast the sandwiches on a pan with butter until golden brown on both sides.
