Breakfast Pancakes

Ingredients:

  1. All-purpose flour (1 cup)
  2. Baking powder (2 teaspoons)
  3. Sugar (2 tablespoons)
  4. Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
  5. Milk (1 cup)
  6. Egg (1)
  7. Butter (2 tablespoons, melted)
  8. Vanilla extract (1 teaspoon)
  9. Optional toppings: Maple syrup, fresh berries, sliced bananas, or whipped cream

Preparation Steps:

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the egg and add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined; lumps are okay.
  4. Heat a griddle or non-stick pan over medium heat.
  5. Grease the surface with a little butter or cooking spray.
  6. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot griddle for each pancake.
  7. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook the other side until golden brown.
  8. Remove from the griddle and repeat with the remaining batter.
  9. Serve the breakfast pancakes warm with your favorite toppings.
