Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
Steps:
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
Step 2: In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Step 3: In a separate bowl, combine olive oil, buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
Step 4: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until well combined.
Step 5: Fold in the dark chocolate chips.
Step 6: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Step 7: Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
