Perfect Pumpkin Pie
Ingredients:
For the Pie Crust:
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed (960 kcal)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- A pinch of salt
- 3 tbsp ice water
For the Pumpkin Filling:

- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup evaporated milk (340 kcal)
- Whipped cream for serving
Cooking Steps:
Step 1: Prepare Pie Crust
- In a food processor, combine flour, chilled butter cubes, granulated sugar, and a pinch of salt. Pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add ice water gradually, pulsing until the dough comes together. Form into a disk, wrap in plastic, and chill for at least 30 minutes.
Step 2: Roll Out Crust
- Roll out the chilled pie crust on a floured surface and place it into a 9-inch pie dish. Trim excess and crimp the edges.
Step 3: Pre-bake Crust
- Pre-bake the crust in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 10 minutes to set.
Step 4: Prepare Pumpkin Filling
- In a bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, salt, eggs, and evaporated milk until well combined.
Step 5: Fill and Bake
- Pour the pumpkin filling into the pre-baked crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the filling is set and a toothpick comes out clean.
Step 6: Cool and Serve
- Allow the pumpkin pie to cool completely before serving.
- Slice, serve with a dollop of whipped cream, and relish the seasonal perfection of Pumpkin Pie.
