Mutton Kheema at Home
Ingredients:
- 500g minced mutton
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Steps:
Step 1: Sauté Aromatics
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add finely chopped onions, green chilies, and ginger-garlic paste. Sauté until onions are golden brown.
Step 2: Cook Minced Mutton
- Add minced mutton to the pan. Cook until the meat is browned.
Step 3: Add Spices
- Incorporate ground coriander, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
Step 4: Introduce Tomatoes
- Add diced tomatoes to the mixture. Cook until they are softened and the oil separates.
Step 5: Simmer and Garnish
- Sprinkle garam masala and let the kheema simmer until the flavors meld.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Step 6: Serve and Enjoy!
- Mutton Kheema is ready to be served. Enjoy it with rice, naan, or your favorite bread for a taste of authentic Indian comfort food.
