Easy Potato Bombas

Ingredients:

  1. 4 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
  2. 1/2 cup seasoned ground meat or vegetarian alternative
  3. 1/4 cup chopped onions
  4. 1/4 cup peas
  5. 1 teaspoon paprika
  6. 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  7. Salt and pepper to taste
  8. 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  9. Oil for frying
  10. Sour cream or salsa for serving (optional)

Steps:

Step 1: Prepare Filling

  • In a pan, sauté onions until translucent. Add seasoned ground meat or vegetarian alternative, peas, paprika, cumin powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until well combined.

Step 2: Shape Potato Balls

  • Take mashed potatoes and form small balls. Flatten each ball in your palm and add a spoonful of the prepared filling. Enclose the filling and reshape into a ball.

Step 3: Coat with Breadcrumbs

  • Roll each potato ball in breadcrumbs, ensuring an even coating.

Step 4: Deep Fry

  • Heat oil in a pan. Deep fry the coated potato balls until they turn golden brown and crispy.

Step 5: Drain and Serve

  • Place the Potato Bombas on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  • Serve hot with sour cream or salsa if desired.
