Chocolate Snickers Cake
Ingredients:
For the Chocolate Cake:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 and 3/4 cups granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
For the Caramel Layer:
- 1 cup caramel sauce (homemade or store-bought)
For the Nougat Filling:
- 1 cup marshmallow fluff
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
For the Peanut Layer:
- 1 cup roasted peanuts, chopped
For Chocolate Ganache:
- 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
For Garnish:
- Additional caramel sauce
- Chopped Snickers bars
Cooking Steps:
Step 1: Prepare Chocolate Cake
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three 8-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
- Gradually add boiling water to the batter, mixing until smooth. The batter will be thin.
- Divide the batter evenly among the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Step 2: Prepare Nougat Filling
- In a bowl, mix together marshmallow fluff and peanut butter until well combined.
Step 3: Assemble the Cake
- Place one chocolate cake layer on a serving plate or cake stand.
- Spread half of the nougat filling over the cake layer.
- Sprinkle half of the chopped peanuts over the nougat layer.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over the peanuts.
- Place the second chocolate cake layer on top and repeat the layers – nougat, peanuts, and caramel.
- Top with the third chocolate cake layer.
Step 4: Prepare Chocolate Ganache
- In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it simmers.
- Pour the hot cream over the chopped dark chocolate. Let it sit for a minute, then stir until smooth.
Step 5: Frost the Cake with Ganache
- Pour the chocolate ganache over the assembled cake, allowing it to drip down the sides.
- Use an offset spatula to spread the ganache evenly over the top and sides of the cake.
Step 6: Garnish and Chill
- Drizzle additional caramel sauce over the top of the cake.
- Sprinkle chopped Snickers bars over the ganache.
- Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours to allow it to set.
