Delicious Chicken Lo mein

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz lo mein or egg noodles
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 medium carrot, julienned
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Steps:

  1. Cook the lo mein or egg noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Set aside.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add sliced chicken and stir-fry until fully cooked. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
  5. In the same pan, add another tablespoon of oil. Sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  6. Add broccoli, carrot, and bell pepper. Stir-fry for a few minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender but still crisp.
  7. Return the cooked chicken to the pan and add the prepared sauce.
  8. Toss in the cooked noodles and green onions. Stir-fry until everything is well combined and heated through.
  9. Garnish with sesame seeds if desired.
