Egg Toast for Dinner

Ingredients:

  • 1 or 2 slices of bread (white, whole grain, or your preference)
  • 1 or 2 eggs
  • Butter or cooking oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: grated cheese, herbs, avocado, hot sauce

Steps:

Step 1: In a skillet, heat a small amount of butter or cooking oil over medium heat.

Step 2: Place the bread slices in the skillet and lightly toast on one side.

Step 3: Flip the bread slices and create a well in the center by pushing down the bread with a spatula.

Step 4: Crack an egg into each well, taking care not to break the yolk if you prefer it runny.

Step 5: Season the eggs with salt and pepper to taste. You can also add optional toppings at this stage.

Step 6: Cover the skillet with a lid and cook until the eggs reach your desired level of doneness (runny yolk, over easy, or well-cooked).

Step 7: Remove the Egg Toast from the skillet and serve immediately.
