Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fine semolina (suji)
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 cup finely chopped vegetables (e.g., bell peppers, onions, tomatoes)
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped (optional for heat)
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 slices of bread
  • Butter for toasting

Steps:

Step 1: In a bowl, mix suji and yogurt to form a thick batter. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes.

Step 2: Add finely chopped vegetables, green chilies (if using), and salt to the batter. Mix well.

Step 3: Spread a generous layer of this mixture onto one side of each bread slice.

Step 4: Heat a non-stick pan or griddle and lightly butter the surface.

Step 5: Place the bread slices, batter side down, on the pan. Cook until the batter side becomes crispy and golden brown.

Step 6: Flip the slices and toast the other side until it reaches the desired level of crunchiness.

Step 7: Remove from the pan and serve hot.
