Delicious & Quick Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small cubes
  • 3/4 cup milk

Cooking Steps:

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.

Step 3: Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry ingredients. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

Step 4: Pour in the milk and stir until just combined. The dough will be sticky.

Step 5: Turn the dough out onto a floured surface. Gently fold it over itself 3-4 times to create layers.

Step 6: Pat the dough into a 1-inch thick rectangle. Use a round biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, with edges touching for softer sides.

Step 7: Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.

Step 8: Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
