Ingredients:

  • For the Cake:
    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
    • 4 large eggs
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 cup whole milk

  • For the Frosting:
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 2 cups powdered sugar
    • 2 tablespoons milk
    • Food coloring (optional)
  • For the Coating and Decorations:
    • White or colored candy melts
    • Festive sprinkles
    • Lollipop sticks

Cooking Steps:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a cake pop mold.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with milk, until well combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the cake pop mold and bake until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow the cake pops to cool completely.
  7. In a separate bowl, prepare the frosting by beating together butter, powdered sugar, and milk. Add food coloring if desired.
  8. Crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs and mix with the frosting until a dough-like consistency is achieved.
  9. Form the mixture into small cake balls and insert a lollipop stick into each.
  10. Melt candy melts and dip each cake pop, coating them evenly. Decorate with festive sprinkles.
