Dhaba Style Palak Chicken

Ingredients:

  1. Chicken pieces - 500g
  2. Fresh spinach (palak) - 2 cups, chopped
  3. Onion - 1 large, finely chopped
  4. Tomatoes - 2 medium, pureed
  5. Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  6. Green chilies - 2, finely chopped
  7. Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  8. Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  10. Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  11. Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  12. Cooking oil or ghee - 2 tablespoons
  13. Salt - to taste

Steps:

Step 1: In a pan, heat oil or ghee and sauté chopped onions until golden brown.
Step 2: Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Sauté until the raw aroma disappears.

Step 3: Incorporate pureed tomatoes and cook until the oil separates.
Step 4: Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook the spices for a few minutes.

Step 5: Add chicken pieces and cook until they are browned on all sides.
Step 6: Stir in chopped spinach and let it wilt into the mixture.

Step 7: Sprinkle garam masala and simmer until the chicken is fully cooked and the flavors meld.
Step 8: Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot. Enjoy the delightful Palak Chicken with rice or bread of your choice!
